Milan boil order lifted as of June 8

MILAN, Illinois — The Village of Milan issued a boil order Thursday afternoon

MILAN, Illinois — The Village of Milan issued a boil order Thursday afternoon for the east side of town following a water main repair. It'll be in effect until further notice.

Milan residents who live east of U.S. 67 on the Milan Beltway to Knoxville Road should boil their water until further notice.

This order comes a about a week after the village announced a boil order due to hydrant repairs.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends residents in a town with a boil water advisory should either use bottled water or boil their tap water before use. This is because the water could have germs that can make people sick.The CDC recommends the following:
