Humane Animal Treatment Society hosting ‘Kitten Shower’

Spring means kitten time, and you can help the Humane Animal Treatment Society

Spring means kitten time, and you can help the Humane Animal Treatment Society take care of and adopt out some adorable felines at a fun "Kitten Shower" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 20. With the shelter expecting more than 200 kittens this year, the public is invited to prepare for their arrival with fun, family-friendly activities. The day will begin with a kids story time featuring Kitten Lady's "Big Book of Little Kittens" by Hannah Shaw, followed by additional activities including drop-off donations, a meet and greet with adoptable kittens, and info sessions about fostering. The event will include snacks and beverages, face painting and kitten toy making. The society's wish list includes cat and kitten canned food, non-clumping cat litter, toys, disposable exam gloves, paper towels, trash bags and cleaning supplies. Donations can also be sent directly from Amazon or Chewy by visiting hatsweb.org/wishlist. The Humane Animal Treatment Society is located at 1105 S. Isabella Road, Mt. Pleasant.
